About the Author

Kate Morris is a lawyer in Texas, where she advises organizations on data, privacy, technology transactions, and artificial intelligence. She has been working at the intersection of law and technology for most of her career — long enough to remember when machine learning and facial recognition were specialist concerns rather than the substance of dinner-table conversation. She wrote much of this book in the company of four dogs and a first-grade teacher, all of whom were patient with her, and one of whom she married.
