About the Author
Kate Morris is a lawyer in Dallas, where she advises organizations on data, privacy, and artificial intelligence at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal. She has been working at the intersection of law and technology for most of her career — long enough to remember when machine learning and facial recognition were specialist concerns rather than the substance of dinner-table conversation. She wrote much of this book in the company of four dogs and a first-grade teacher, all of whom were patient with her, and one of whom she married.
